Snow Plow Show – June 22nd, 2014 – The Dharma Initiative

4 out of 5 toasters have a 6.5536 MHz crystal in them

This show was made possible by a donation of $200.52 in play money and plastic coins by Carl Sanders.  Unfortunately that wasn’t enough for me to afford PCN’s steep live broadcasting fees, but it was more than enough for me to make this podcast-only version of a show.  Thanks, Carl!

  • Still no Yelp review from Anne Marie while I’m editing this.  Dammit.
  • Rick Dyer is a guy who frequently fakes bigfoot captures.
  • My background music is too loud.  I’m SORRY.  I’ll turn it down next time.
  • Heathcliff Theme Song
  • When I called Richard, I meant to say I was with the Department of Transportation.  I’m dum.
  • “Don’t be an adult skateboarder,” says the adult prank caller.  I KNOW.
  • Weird Al Yankovic – eBay

You should do a broadcast on the grouchy old Google guy since he is in one of the intros. He’s hilarious. Also, I listen to the podcasts. Also, do you delete old podcasts? It seems like whenever a new one is released an old one is removed.

Nope, I never delete old stuff. Usually podcast apps will automatically delete older episodes to make room for newer episodes. There’s probably a setting in your app to change that. When I used iTunes, it did that, but there was a way to make it keep the old ones.

    Brad,

It was funny as shit how you connected Mr. Costello to his wife via 3 way. I think you should incorperate that a little more into your shows every so often.

For example, calling a walgreens as you would in normal ‘RBCP’ fashion and get some customer info (companies are obviously interchangable based on location)

Then after saying a whole bunch of ridiculous shit to them, you can ask if they’d like to speak to your manager and ‘connect them’ to their front desk to speak to him. And hear how pissed off they are post Arbie haha :p Just an idea but the fact that you sort of kick up some shit then let two innocent people hash it out on air is unreasonably cruel and hilarious.

Thanks for another great show. Emailed you about the NY hotline prank request I have talked about.

    Thanks,

    Arbie!

What’s the name of the 8bit song at the very beginning of the show?

I recognize it (Castlevania?) but its bothering me now and its not in the show notes >.<

Guy – I dont know the name of any of the 8bit songs. I’ve just got a directory full of them and they play randomly. Since people keep asking me that question, I set up this: https://phonelosers.com/media – it contains all of those 8bit songs and my other background loops. I’m planning to upload all of PLA’s content to that media page soon, so keep watching that page for a ton of new things.

Is anyone else getting a server error when they try to listen/download? Might just be my shitty browser

I did something dumb a couple days ago and broke all the audio links on the site. Everything should be back to normal now.

Haha time to sift through your little collection to find out what it was. I also sent you an 8bit song I composed through email. Not sure if you got it but I hope you enjoy it when you hear it :)
