Manic Radio Overreaction

I was going to post the chatlog I had with Manic Radio's owner in the Phone Show thread, but this whole topic needs its own thread so here it is....

On November 9th, 2009 The Phone Show moved to a brand new internet station called Manic Radio.  It looked like it was going to work out really well until it quickly became apparent that the Manic Radio chatroom mods were unable to cope with the PLA's special brand of love.  Kidding around seemed to be strictly forbidden in the chat room and one of the mods even got pissed that RBCP made fun of Manic Radio's web site on the air, saying it looked like it was from the 90's.

Things quickly got out of hand in the chat room and one caller on the show even went on the air to make fun of the mods on the show.  The owner of Manic was woken up and told to come to the chat room ASAP to witness the pandemonium. (Jenn archived most of the chat log here.) It was the funnest show ever and it probably brought Manic Radio more listeners than they'd ever had at once.  But they weren't amused.  Two days later, I received this offline message from JC Violence:

I haven't seen JC on Yahoo since that day, so I'm assuming that he actually took me off his friends list and put me on ignore so he wouldn't have to talk to me about any of this.  I don't even know who Mr. London is.  So that's the end of our relationship with Manic Radio and the beginning of PLA's very own 24/7 internet stream.

Hey maybe for next week's Phone Show, I can encourage everyone to converge in the Manic Radio chat room and hang out as if we're still on their station.  There might not be any mods there, though, since there are no shows on at that time anymore.

You'd be very lucky if you could get by their security.

On their DJ application and song request pages, they warn you that your IP will be logged. But they do this by placing your IP in a hidden field, which can be changed in any number of ways, and submitting it along with the form. So basically you can make your IP whatever you feel like. Someone should send in a bunch of offensive requests using the IP of their ShoutCast server or 127.0.0.1 or CACTUS or something.
