Cingular ringtone pulled
MIB:
I get this in my email from The Practical Joker.
In case you didn't catch this story in the news, some joker slipped in a ringer of a ringtone which caused Cingular some embarrassment. The ringtone started with a siren, followedby a male voice saying in a Southern drawl, "This is la Migra,"a slang term for the Border Patrol. "Por favor, put the oranges down and step away from the cell phone. I repeat-o, put the oranges down and step away from the telephone-o. I'm deporting you back home-o," the voice continued.
Cingular pulled the ringtone and they are reviewing the process used to screen ringtones, which are developed by several other companies. I wonder if somebody got fired overthat one. As I well know, there is a fine line between being funny and getting written up or fired. By the way, we're still looking for more ideas for the chapter entitled: "How To Get Yourself Fired"
Here's the whole Cingular story:

Unfortunatly the story isn't on the newspaper website anymore.
Anyone here of this?

ghostman:
Yeah I heard about this... it got just maybe 15-20 downloads. I haven't heard it but my friend says it's funny... it sounds like it'd be kind of stupid though.
So Cingular trusts other companies for ringtones? I bet a Cactus Enterprises ringtone would get more hits than that!
computerwiz_222:

CerealKiller:
